Bookies is a great place to play. This bar had an elevated DJ booth that spins excelent music. The location is moving from its original location to a new location on Cass Avenue. So make sure to stop by and check out the new location this spring. 1265 Washington Blvd Centaur, it's all in the name! This high class establishment is a sweet place to have some high class drinks and chat some some great DETROIT people! The wrap around bar facilitates some quick drink service! The food is sweet! Cobo Joe's is the best! Man you have to have a burger here! The burgers are better then anything you can think of. The prices are really good! I would recommend trying the 1/2 pound cobo joe burger. The pork quesadilla is a house specality that shouldn't be missed. The veggie flat bread melt is a great meal for the vegan in you. Make sure to always try the salad of the month! Pull the cork at Corktown! This is a great little place where you can kick back and not worry about appearances! The place is great to listen to house music all night long. Make sure to grab a old fashioned at this place, I hear there good and stiff! Thursday nights you can expect to find a DJ spinning some sweet tunes. Fridays are the funk below where they spin classic and rare 45s. The grill is open until 1:00 AM, which is unheard of. 1716 Michigan Ave, The Detroiter is the only place where one can go and find themselves walking into a downtown icon. Conveniently located walking distance from Comerica park! This place has some great games to play. There is a punching game and pinball, darts, a pool table and other assorted video games. Hard Rock cafe is the best place to play if you like the places that have excelent food and atmosphere! If you need a place to take a friend out of town too that hasen't been in a Hard Rock Cafe you have to go again! The place has so much to look at inside it is overwhelming. You really need to go a bunch of times just to see it all. Make sure to make one of your stops a Hard Rock stop next time your in the D! Hockey town Cafe, is the place to play. Injoy the little ice rink that circles the bar. Order a beer that will be delicious and frosty! Don't forget to grab a sandwich. I would recommend staying away from the portobella mushroom one, that was a dissipointment! The sandwich came out looking like it came directly out of the microwave and was dropped and all the stuffing fell out! I would recommend the Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat that they always seem to be carrying in stock when it is in season! Make sure to check out the $5.00 lunch specials Monday-Friday. Make sure to hit up this place. Grab an order of the sausage and cheese with tortillas! This place is a great place to socalize as well, the bar has a bunch of nifty scenes imbedded under the glass that will keep you occupied for hours as you sip your mexidrinks! The wait staff is really attentive and the drinks are stiff! I would recommend this place to everyone! MGM Grand Detroit is a great place to drink, shop, party! There are multiple drinking establishments for your enjoyment. You can also have a great time hitting up the many poker tables as well as delicious places to eat! I would recommend spending a long night at the MGM Grand. You won't be sorry! The old Shillelagh is a great place to sing and drink and dance. Make sure to make your reservation upstairs to sing along with the sweet irish band! The sweet Irish band can seriously jam. They do old songs and new songs and irish drinking songs! If you ask they will give you water in a pitcher! They are having there 30th anniversy. Pizza Papalis, is a great place to get some greek style chicago pizza! They have a full bar and some great staff. The place can accomidate large parties as well as lunch meetings!
